This feature is to be used when you know the reference you would like to import.

If you cannot see the filter, it might be necessary to import it from Clarivate’s support pages.

Choose the appropriate Import option (based on the format in which you saved the file you might need to select 'other filters' if the one you are looking for is not already displayed).

Select the import option, File > Import > File.

Save the references as a single file to your computer (not into EndNote, just onto the desktop for example).

In this case, you can use another method to track down the full article and attach it to the citation.This is the default method for importing references into EndNote. Note that in some cases EndNote is not able to locate the full text even though the library has it. Once you’ve applied these settings, clicking on Find Full Text should import any PDFs available through Queen's University Library or otherwise freely available. Go to Edit > Preferences > Find Full Text and add the OpenURL and proxy prefix as seen here:

If you have downloaded EndNote desktop using the site license for Queen's (see Introduction above), you can use the "Find Full Text" feature to import PDFs for your citations.
